SPARA team members led a project for one of Canada's largest pork production companies to determine the cradle to gate GHG impacts of its pork products. The project considered the GHG impacts of all production phases, including fertilizer manufacture and application, manure application, manure storage, and energy use at the farms and processing facility.

SPARA team members led a life cycle assessment of biomass energy for a provincial-level government in Canada. The results of the project are being used by the government as a key decision-making tool in their development of a future energy sourcing policy strategy.

Our team has prepared the calculations and program-specific reporting (life cycle assessments) for over 20 project developers seeking certification of their carbon removal credits. SPARA has worked with multiple carbon removal technologies including biochar and terrestrial biomass storage and is capable of working in all of the leading carbon removal certification programs (puro.earth, Verra, CAR, Isometric).
